Dr. William Sears - Family Nutrition Expert
For more than 30 years, Dr. William Sears, known as America's pediatrician, has been educating, uplifting and motivating parents through his parenting "bibles," including The Baby Book and The Discipline Book. Renowned throughout America for his parenting advice, Dr. Sears, himself a father of eight, has turned his attention to the subject of family nutrition. Known for his pragmatic and motivational approach, he combines sound nutritional advice for the whole family with practical tips on how to make it a reality in The Family Nutrition Book.
Dr. Sears lives and practices pediatrics in San Clemente, California, and is Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine. He received his pediatric training at Harvard Medical School's Children's Hospital in Boston and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, the largest children's hospital in the world. There he served as Associate Ward Chief of the newborn nursery and Associate Professor of Pediatrics. In addition to writing many books and scientific articles, Dr. Sears is a medical and parenting consultant to Baby Talk and Parenting magazines. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a fellow of the Royal College of Pediatricians.
